Giving Back
Various activities throughout the year help you support our community through charitable giving, hands-on service work, and more
Sisterhood tzedakah supports facets of Jewish life and learning within Temple Emanuel, the greater Denver community, and worldwide.

Honey for the Holidays -- Order for Rosh Hashana
Support Sisterhood while sending sweet New Year greetings to family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Each jar of honey is $14 -- same price as last year! -- and includes free shipping if you order by August 8. Orders placed August 9 or later will require a shipping fee of $8 per jar.
Orders can be accepted until Rosh Hashana (while supplies last). Honey is guaranteed to arrive in time for the holiday if you order by September 12.
Payment can be made by credit card or PayPal. Contact Beth Huerta at bisikoff@comcast.net or 770-712-8912 with questions.
Place your order today -- there's nothing sweeter than a little jar of honey!
Sisterhood Flower Fund
Honor loved ones and life cycle celebrations by contributing to the Flower Fund, one of Sisterhood's ongoing and primary fundraisers. The Flower Fund is used all year long to provide flowering plants to the bereaved family of Sisterhood and Temple members, and also helps fund various other Sisterhood philanthropy efforts. A donation of any amount is welcome.
Your gift can be dedicated In Memory Of or In Honor Of any person or event. It's a lovely way to commemorate a yahrzeit, birth or adoption, marriage, bar or bat mitzvah, confirmation, milestone birthday, or other special occasion.
Click the button below to donate electronically. In the online form, you will be prompted to provide information about memorial or honorary gifts. If you prefer to donate by check, please call Temple Emanuel at 303-388-4013 for guidance.
Purim Bake Sale
Each year our Sisterhood sells professionally baked hamantaschen and rugelach to make Purim celebrations extra-sweet. Why slave in the kitchen when Sisterhood can deliver the goods without any extra hassle?
No order is too big or too small... place your order early to ensure you get the quantity and flavors you desire. Pre-orders are taken in January and February for delivery in March.
Orders can be picked up during the Purim Carnival in the Temple social hall. We do always order extra baked goods, so if you did not place an order in advance, you are welcome to drop in and shop.
